What is an SPI?
The Standard Parcel Identifier (SPI) is how Victoria names every parcel of land: the lot, a backslash and the plan — 1\PS123456 is lot 1 on Plan of Subdivision 123456; PC365025 is a whole Plan of Consolidation; Crown land uses the allotment, section and parish. The SPI appears on the title, the council rates notice and the planning property report.
Victorian Property Report — A$29: one dated PDF for one property — every lot and plan (SPI) with area and map, the planning zone and every overlay (heritage, flood, bushfire management, design and development, environmental significance…) with its schedule, the Victorian Heritage Register and inventory, the bushfire prone area and recorded flood history.
